Design process
The design process can be shortened to suit the needs of a specific space, but generally looks like this:
Initial comprehensive consultation
Identifying your needs and describing options for realizing your preferences — as a result, you receive a commercial proposal with work details.
Contract signing
A document containing terms of cooperation, rights and obligations of the parties, deadlines, costs, and other details. The contract protects the interests of both parties.
Measurements and photo documentation
This provides detailed information about the dimensions and shape of rooms, ceiling height, and placement of windows and doors. Measurements help reduce the risk of errors in the project.
Planning and 3D layouts
3D layouts allow the client to better envision the future design of their space, see it from different angles, and examine all details.
Mood boards and style selection
Mood boards are created to visualize the interior designer’s concept and ideas before moving to detailed project development. They ensure unity in design.
Visualizations
Visualizations are created to help people see how their spaces will look after the project is realized. They provide a realistic assessment of scale, proportions, and colors.
Working drawings
The longest part of the design process. Includes documenting the finest design details, tile layouts, drawing packages, etc. Working drawings are needed by the team to calculate the cost of work and materials.
Furniture and custom element drawings
Each contractor needs detailed drawings for furniture manufacturing to calculate costs and achieve a predictable result.
Budget
Calculating the project and renovation budget helps clients make informed expenditures, assess their capabilities beforehand, and avoid unpleasant surprises.
Construction and supervision
Most projects move to the construction phase after the tender process among construction teams. Design intent is followed much more precisely when the designer takes an active part in construction.
Furniture installation and styling
This is the project stage that involves furniture installation, styling, accessory mounting, and project handover to the client.
